It seems like mcu failure as quick search from this forum pointed towards that (please leave out antecdotal joy and sorrow about taking delivery soon, too early etc.) The replacement from tesla service center is asking $2900 estimate
Marvel Cinematic Universe movie release dates
Can't afford that at this moment Opening this thread with the hope of some focused discussion on the retrofit question only Searching on ebay shown some listings around $400
Mine was a b part number which said no screen, but one of the other line items detailed an mcu upgrade with screen
It does get confusing.see the invoice i got (tesla confirms infotainment system upgradeability from mcu1 to mcu2 for $2500). Member mar 18, 2018 19 18 los angeles, ca jun 10, 2018 #1 jun 10, 2018 #1 i am planning an aftermarket audio upgrade for my 2018 model x with mcu2 (base audio system) and was wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram that would help me figure out which wires to tap into behind the mcu2 I want to tap the front left and right as well as the rear left and right to send. If the mcu dies tesla will charge eur 3000 (i'm in europe) for a mcu replacement while only a small memory chip has failed
Replacing emmc in mcu the same is shown in this video After thinking about this, maybe tesla will provide an update in 2026, five years after mcu2 was released, would be same time table as mcu1 upgrade in 2021 for model x Who knows though, kinda think they’ll never offer an upgrade based on tech the company has went away from Hmmm as there are some downsides with root i ask myself if this could be a solution
I have a lte upgrade module which is connected to mcu
If i “cut” i guess thats a lan cable so what if i put a raspberry in between and block the port i used for manual update I have the following unresolved issues Should i try and fix them at the service centre one by one or all together I have a 2024 m3p here in canada (shanghai built)
I’ve been to the sc 3 times now for more serious issues which have been fixed for. The mcu upgrade also includes two new screens to replace the dashboard screen and the control panel screen You should have them also replace the sd memory card for the navigation, as it surely has passed its useful life Normally, they use the old sd card from the old mcu
This is a very inexpensive part.
Here's my story of my diy hw2.0 retrofit for mcu2, ic2, tuner2, and fsd computer I want to begin this post by offering the most honest caveat i can I do not encourage you to repeat anything i have done In fact, now that tesla is offering the mcu2 and fsd computer retrofits officially, i.
